Since February 2016, FOKAL no longer accepts new applications on paper or by email.<\/p><p data-start=\"709\" data-end=\"903\">Grants awarded under the Martissant Project are not affected by this change. For information regarding grants linked to FOKAL\u2019s Martissant project, please contact the Martissant Park Office:<\/p><ul><li>Tel :<em><strong> 28 13 1695<\/strong><\/em><\/li><li>Email: <em><strong><a href=\"mailto:parcdemartissant@fokal.org\">parcdemartissant@fokal.org<\/a><\/strong><\/em><\/li><\/ul><p data-start=\"968\" data-end=\"1080\">The <em data-start=\"972\" data-end=\"989\">Library Program<\/em> directly manages grants to libraries within its network and does not fund new libraries.<\/p><p data-start=\"1082\" data-end=\"1537\">The required documents remain the same, but the online form allows for greater clarity in applications submitted to FOKAL, making the review process faster and more systematic. Applicants will be able to choose among three categories of grants: <strong data-start=\"1327\" data-end=\"1346\">Art and Culture<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"1348\" data-end=\"1365\">Support for studies<\/strong>, and <strong data-start=\"1371\" data-end=\"1388\">Other Grants.<\/strong> The latter category includes grants related to the <em data-start=\"1440\" data-end=\"1455\">Media Program<\/em>, as well as the priority areas of <em data-start=\"1490\" data-end=\"1504\">Human Rights<\/em> and <em data-start=\"1509\" data-end=\"1534\">Sustainable Development<\/em>.<\/p><p data-start=\"1539\" data-end=\"1666\">It is important to understand that grant requests outside these themes will be difficult for the Grant Committee to consider.<\/p><p data-start=\"1668\" data-end=\"1929\">To facilitate the application process, a tutorial explains each step of the submission. For each category, the list of required documents is provided at the beginning of the process. Then enter the random code. After clicking \u201cSubmit,\u201d you will receive a confirmation email.<\/p><p data-start=\"2207\" data-end=\"2454\">It is important to have a reliable email address that you check regularly, as all information about your grant will be sent primarily by email. Since grant committees meet every two months, your response time may take between 1 and 3 months.<\/p><p data-start=\"2456\" data-end=\"2527\"><strong data-start=\"2456\" data-end=\"2465\">Note:<\/strong> <strong>FOKAL will no longer accept applications by paper or email.<\/strong><\/p><p data-start=\"2534\" data-end=\"2563\"><strong>Browser Requirements:<\/strong><\/p><ul data-start=\"2565\" data-end=\"2627\"><li data-start=\"2565\" data-end=\"2579\"><p data-start=\"2567\" data-end=\"2579\">Firefox 4+<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"2580\" data-end=\"2594\"><p data-start=\"2582\" data-end=\"2594\">Chrome 80+<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"2595\" data-end=\"2608\"><p data-start=\"2597\" data-end=\"2608\">Opera 10+<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"2609\" data-end=\"2627\"><p data-start=\"2611\" data-end=\"2627\">Microsoft Edge<\/p><\/li><\/ul><p data-start=\"2634\" data-end=\"2701\"><strong>If you experience difficulties, please check the following:<\/strong><\/p><ol data-start=\"2703\" data-end=\"3818\"><li data-start=\"2703\" data-end=\"2793\"><p data-start=\"2706\" data-end=\"2793\">Make sure your browser (Chrome, Internet Explorer, Mozilla, or Safari) is up to date.<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"2794\" data-end=\"3001\"><p data-start=\"2797\" data-end=\"2902\">Did you see a confirmation message in a green box (at the top of the page) once the form was submitted?<\/p><ul data-start=\"2906\" data-end=\"3001\"><li data-start=\"2906\" data-end=\"2957\"><p data-start=\"2908\" data-end=\"2957\">If yes, check your SPAM or JUNK folder.<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"2961\" data-end=\"3001\"><p data-start=\"2963\" data-end=\"3001\">If not, review the following points:<\/p><\/li><\/ul><\/li><li data-start=\"3002\" data-end=\"3079\"><p data-start=\"3005\" data-end=\"3079\">Ensure that each file uploaded to our platform does not exceed 3 MB.<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"3080\" data-end=\"3161\"><p data-start=\"3083\" data-end=\"3161\">A brief interruption of your internet connection may disrupt the submission.<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"3162\" data-end=\"3273\"><p data-start=\"3165\" data-end=\"3273\">Although the upload limit applies to each individual file, having multiple files may increase upload time.<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"3274\" data-end=\"3412\"><p data-start=\"3277\" data-end=\"3412\">After several failed attempts with the CAPTCHA code, completely close your browser (Chrome or Firefox are recommended) and try again.<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"3413\" data-end=\"3510\"><p data-start=\"3416\" data-end=\"3510\">Unstable internet connections may prevent the application from being submitted successfully.<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"3511\" data-end=\"3634\"><p data-start=\"3514\" data-end=\"3634\">The application form has a session time limit; any session will close after a period of inactivity (about 1 hour).<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"3635\" data-end=\"3818\"><p data-start=\"3638\" data-end=\"3818\">Even though the character limit is 1,500, try to limit your text to 1,300 characters, as spaces are also counted.
